This would occur multiple times each second resulting in 6418 errors a day.

After following some advice on these forums I switched off the queueing in the Nvidia Storage Controller through Device Manager, this has stopped the Event3 erros but have opened up the Event9 errors;

These occur slightly less often with around 47 errors an hour but these still crash the computer to a stand still and on some occasions require a hard-restart.

It usually happens when i'm playing a game such as COD:MW2 but doesn't happen during games such as Mass Effect 2.
It also happens if I play Runescape or if I seem to multitask (have a game and a web browser open).

It has only began to start crashing over the past week but is an annoyance.
